About Kristina
A Bay Area Native, Kristina began her career in mental health in her undergraduate years, with several volunteer positions in outpatient settings with both adults and children. She completed her B.A. in Psychology at San Diego State University and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University San Diego. Kristina has vast experience practicing Applied Behavioral Analysis with children and families in home, school, and clinical settings and provided behavioral consultations to caregivers and teaching professionals. Kristina specialized in treating clients with acute mental illness and post-traumatic stress in her roles as primary therapist at inpatient treatment centers, facilitating healing through body-based and family systems modalities. Kristina is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and conceptualizes mental and physical wellness through nervous system regulation.
Currently, Kristina is a member of California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, Somatic Experiencing International and Postpartum Support International. She believes that access to community resources is a central part of healing.
Kristina has experience identifying the nature of a person’s symptoms and helping individuals understand how to connect to their bodies and restore to their optimal level of comfort.
Through Somatic Experiencing, Kristina can help clients to track their unique stress patterns in the body and work toward settling and comfort.
